Adjectives are also called describing words. They tell us something more about a naming word. They B tell us the kind of, the number of or how many or the colour of persons, places, animals, birds or things. For example look at the following sentences

 

 

HUGE BUILDING FAT RAM

It is such a huge building. Here the word huge tells us what kind of building it is. It describes the building.

Ram is very fat.

Here the word fat tells us what kind of boy Ram is. It describes Ram.

For example There were eleven players in his team.

The word eleven tells us about how many player were there in his team.  

He has four oranges with him.

The word four tells us how many oranges he has.

 

 

The name of colour can used to describe a thing.  

For example

 

She wore a red dress.

The word red tells us about what colour the dress is.

It describes the dress.

He has a white car.

The word white tells us about what colour car he has. It describes the car.
