QUICK CONCEPT REVIEW

Spatial is something related to space and the position of objects within it.

Words like top, bottom, near, far, below, above, inside, outside, on, under, after and before help us to describe the position of different objects around us. So, are called position words.

FOR EXAMPLE

• Whenever you ask you mother, “Where is my bag?” Or “Where is my book?”
• She replies by saying, “It is on the table” Or “It inside the cupboard”
• The answer will always be a position word.

Let us understand more about the position words with the help of an example.

Anshul and his friends decided to play with a ball in the park. There is an argument between Anshul and his friends that the box is ‘in’ the table or ‘on’ the table.

 In this picture, box is kept on the bench and the ball is under the bench.

Here, space – Park, Objects- ball and box, Position (words) “under” and “on”.

Let us discuss some examples of objects which are on the ‘top’, ‘on’, ’inside’, ’above’, ’before’ and of the objects which are the ‘bottom’, ‘under’, ’outside’, ’below’, ’after’.
