Articles tell us about nouns. There are three articles in English: a, an, and the.
1. A- The article 'a' is used with nouns which are one in number and begin with a consonant. For example: a book, a pencil, a dog, etc.
2. An- The article 'an' is used with nouns which are one in number and begin with a vowel. For example: an aeroplane, an apple, an egg, etc.
The articles ?a? and 'an' are used with countable nouns.
3. The- The article 'the' is used with things which are uncountable. For example: the water, the air, the juice, etc. It is also used with particular things. For example: the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, the moon, the sun, etc. 'The' is also used when we talk about something again. For example: George bought an apple. George ate the apple.
