Verb
A verb is a word which tells about an action. A verb tells us what a person, animal, or a thing does. Verbs are very important. We cannot make sentences without verbs.
Let us read the following story to understand verbs better.
One fine morning, Ella was going to school. She saw a beautiful butterfly. Ella chased the butterfly but it flew away. She became sad. In the afternoon, Ella came back home.
She looked out of the window and saw the butterfly again. Ella became very happy
The words: going, saw, chased, flew, became, came, looked, and saw are verbs.
