                  Nicola and Jacopo worked day and night to earn money. They sell fruits, shine the shoes of people, distribute newspapers and work as tourist-guides. They earn well but don't spend that amount on their own betterment. They don't wear good clothes or enjoy their hobbies. They save all the money to pay the bill of the hospital in which their sister is undergoing treatment of tuberculosis of the spine. They meet her weekly and are concerned for her health. They take care of their sister cheerfully and never disclose their problem before anybody. They fight their battle of life with courage and fortitude. They wish that she will dance again and live a healthy and successful life. They never show Lucia that they have to suffer great pain to earn every penny for her treatment. They know the value of relations and show a new hope to humanity. I think they look after Lucia willingly because they love her very much.
