                      The differences between artery, vein and capillary are
    S. No. Artery Vein Capillary
    (i) Arteries are thick walled They are thin walled. Capillaries have walls that are only one cell thick.
    (ii) Arteries carry blood from the heart to other parts of the body. Veins carry blood from different organs to the heart. Exchange of material between the blood and surrounding cells takes place across this thin wall.
    (iii) They are situated very deep into the skin. They are superficially situated in the skin. Occurs in the terminals of artery or veins.
