    Answer:

                      (a) Trees are important to us because they take carbon dioxide from atmosphere and give out oxygen, which is required by living organisms to live. They also reduce greenhouse effect, global warming and acid rain.                                                                     (1) (b) People can plant more and more saplings and nurture them to compensate the loss of oxygen supply.                                                 (1) (c) The values shown by students are love for nature, awareness, concern and protection for environment.                                             (1)
