      Royal water is prepared by mixing two acids A and B. It can dissolve gold and platinum.  It is highly corrosive and fuming liquid. Identify A and B. What is the ratio in which A and B are mixed?       

    Answer:

                      Acid A is concentrated HCl. Acid B is concentrated . 3 parts of concentrated HCl is mixed with 1 part of concentrated  to make Royal water called aqua regia.                                (2)
