                (i) Unorganized sector is characterized by small and scattered units which are largely outside the control of the government. (ii) There are rules and regulations but not followed. (iii) Jobs are low-paid and often not regular. (iv) There is no provisions for overtime, paid leave, holidays or leave due to sickness. (v) Employment is not secure. People can be asked to leave without any reason. (vi) When they retire, they do not get any pension or provident fund, etc.
