acid as compared to phenol is due to stabilisation of carboxyl ate ion by two
resonance structure in which -ve charge is at more electro negative oxygen. But
in resonance of peroxide ion the -ve charge is at less electronegative carbon
atom. So, resonance in peroxide ion is less stable as compared to carboxyl ate ion.
