  Why have the lines- "For men many come and men may go, but I go on forever" been repeated in the poem several times? What is the significance of these lines?

                  Human beings are mortals while the brook is immortal. A human can only live for so long before he dies, but the brook and nature is never-ending and will outlive hum The brook will flow long after a person is dead. Nature is eternal.
