                    Test cricket is a unique game in many ways because (i) Test cricket can go on for five days and still end in a draw. (ii) The length of the pitch is specified, i.e., 22 yards , but the size or shape of the ground is not. (iii) There are other games like hockey and football which lay down the dimensions of the playing area, but cricket does not cricket ground can be oval, circular, etc. (iv) Test cricket was the earliest modern team sport to be codified. (v) Cricket gave itself rules and regulations so that it could be played in uniform and standardized way.
