A and B can do a piece of work in 18 days, B and C in 24 days, A and C in 36 days. In what time can they do it all working together?

    A) 18

    B) 17

    C) 16

    D) 15

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

One day work of (A and B) \[P+Q=\frac{1}{25}+\frac{1}{30}=\frac{11}{150}\] One day work of (B and C) \[\left( P+Q \right)\] One day work of (C and A) \[=\frac{11}{150}\times 5=\frac{11}{30}\] \[=1-\frac{11}{30}=\frac{19}{30}\]?s one day work \[\frac{19}{30}\] So one day work of \[\frac{19}{30}\times 30=19\] So total work = 16 days.
