    The average of \[X\] and\[Y=108\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[X+Y=108\times 2=216\to (1)\] \[300%X=Y\,\,i.e.,\,\,Y=3X\] \[X+Y=216\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[X+3X=216\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[4X=216\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[X=\frac{216}{4}=54\] The required difference \[=Y-X=3X-X\] \[=2X=2\times 54=108\]
