    Solution :

    Let the first part be x. Second part\[=8000-x\] We have\[\frac{x\times 5\times 12}{100}=\frac{(8000-x)\times 2\times 18}{100}\] \[5x=24000-3x\] \[8x=24000\] \[x=3000\] \[23\frac{1}{3}\] First part = Rs.3000. Second part = Rs.5000.
