As you asked, and as I promised, I am writing about my country, Indonesia. Indonesia is made up of more than 13,600 islands. Jakarta is the largest city. It is the capital of our country I also stay at Jakarta. The other important cities are Surabaya, a busy port. Bandung and Medan. Medan is our third largest city,

Most Indonesians live in small farm villages where they grow rice, coconuts, coffee, maize, rubber, tea and spices. Our country is covered with rain forests, and crocodiles, elephants, pythons, rhinoceroses and tigers are the various animals found m our country. Indonesians eat rice cooked in different ways. We like our food cooked in coconut milk and oil and we eat meat, fish and vegetable dishes.

I will send you a sarong, which is a long colourful skirt that we wrap around the body It is worn with a long-sleeved blouse. When you visit Jakarta, I will take you to watch our traditional dance called Legong, which is usually performed by two or three girls. Our puppet shows are also very popular.
