    Match the following.
    Column-I Column-II
    (i) When number x is multiplied by 10 and then divided by 8, the result is 270. Then, x is (p) 1632
(ii) There are 48 crates of apples. Each crate contains 34 apples. Number of apples altogether are (q) 324
    (iii) Subtract 3987 from the sum of 4687 and 28080. (r) 216
(iv) The product of third multiple of 9 with 12 is (s) 28780

    A)  \[(i)\to (p),(ii)\to (q),(iii)\to 9(r),(iv)\to (s)\]

    B)  \[(i)\to (r),(ii)\to (p),(iii)\to (s),(iv)\to (q)\]

    C)  \[(i)\to (r),(ii)\to (p),(iii)\to (q),(iv)\to (s)\]

    D)  \[(i)\to (r),(ii)\to (s),(iii)\to (p),(iv)\to (q)\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    (i) Let the number x be 216 (ii) Number of apples in 1 crate = 34 \[\therefore \] Number of apples in 48 crates \[=34\times 48=1632\] (iii) Sum of 4687 and 28080 \[\begin{align}   & \,\,\,\,28080 \\  & \,\,\,\underline{+\,\,4687} \\  & =\underline{32767} \\ \end{align}\] Now, \[32767-3987=28780\] (iv) Third multiple of \[9=27\] \[\therefore \] Required product \[=\text{ }27\times 12=324\]
