Direction for question: A reputed educational foundation is to select meritorious graduate students for the award of scholarships for higher studies abroad who fulfil the following criteria:

(i) Age: More than 18 years but less than 27 years, as on 1.4.2014.

(ii) Minimum Percentage of Marks: B. Sc. - 70% or BA - 60% or B. Com. - 65%.

(iii) Prizes / awards: Should have won at least one either in Essay, Debate or Sports,

(iv) Annual Family Income: Not to be more than Rs. 80,000.

(v) Domicile: Must be staying in India for the last 20 years or above as on 1.4.2014.

Concessions:

One has to fulfil the above conditions. However/ certain concessions are available to the following categories:

Wards of Farmers - relaxation in the maximum age limit up to three years.

SC/ST applications - relaxation in marks up to 5%.

Consideration:

[c] Not fulfilling criterion (iii) above m the case should be referred to the Chairman of the Foundation

[d] Not fulfilling criterion (iv) above ?the case should be referred to the Secretary of the Foundation.
