  • question_answer
If the coordinates of one end of the diameter of the circle \[{{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-8x-4y+c=0\] are (-3, 2), then the coordinates of other end are     [Roorkee 1995]

    A) (5, 3)

    B) (6, 2)

    C) (1, -8)

    D) (11, 2)

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

Obviously the centre of the circle is (4, 2) which should be the middle point of the ends of diameter.                    Hence the other end is (11, 2).
