    A)  \[R{{h}^{+}}\]man and \[R{{h}^{+}}\]woman

    B)  \[R{{h}^{+}}\] man and \[R{{h}^{-}}\] woman

    C)  \[R{{h}^{-}}\] man and R woman

    D)  \[R{{h}^{-}}\] man and \[R{{h}^{+}}\] woman

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Rh factor was di scovered by K-arl Landsteiner, A child of \[R{{h}^{+}}\] man will be \[R{{h}^{+}}\] whether the mother is \[R{{h}^{+}}\] or  \[R{{h}^{-}}\]. If the mother is \[R{{h}^{-}}\] then there will be no problem but if mother is \[R{{h}^{-}}\] so when the blood of \[R{{h}^{-}}\] child (in womb) mixes with the blood of \[R{{h}^{-}}\] mother then some antibodies in mother's blood are formed against \[R{{h}^{-}}\] factor which coagulate the womb blood causing death. If birth takes place then there is a possibility of child death in early years. This in known as erythroblast osisfoetalis. In most cases the first pregnancy may succeed but after that it fails.
