    Indian National Congress popularly known as Congress Party is one of the oldest parties in the world. It was founded in 1885 by Dr. A.O. Hume. It was started as a safety valve to express the increasing feeling of discontent among the Indians against the British rule.
    It played a dominate role in the Indian politics at the national and state level for several decades.
