(iii) Most of the fertiliser plants are there in public sector. Green revolution has contributed to the growth of this industry with the increased use of fertilisers, insecticides, etc. Important centres of fertiliser industry are widespread throughout the country mainly in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh etc.
