  • question_answer
How powers are shared in different social groups and why?
    Or
How do democracy accommodate different social groups?

    Answer:

Under the phenomenon of 'Power Sharing' powers are shared among different social groups, the religious and linguistic groups or among the weaker sections and women.
This type of arrangement is meant to give space in the government and administration to diverse social groups who otherwise would feel alienated from the government.
It is also used to give minority communities a fair share in power.
Community Government in Belgium is the good example of this arrangement. In India Reserved Constituencies in assemblies and the Parliament signify this type of power sharing in India.
