    What was the impact of Treaty of Vienna (1815) on European people?

    Answer:

    The representatives of four European powers-England, Russia, Prussia and Austria-signed the Treaty of Vienna in 1815 during their meeting at the Congress of Vienna.
    Their main object was to undo the changes brought about by Napoleon during his rule.
    (i) The Bourbon dynasty which was deposed during the French Revolution was restored to power, Steps were taken to prevent French expansion in future.
    (ii) Prussia was given important new territories on its western part and Austria was given control of Northern part of Italy. In the East Russia was y given part of Poland while Prussia was given a part of Saxony. German cofederation of 39 states was left untouched.
    (iii) The main intention thus was to restore monarchies that were overthrown by Napoleon and to create a conservative order in Europe. The Treaty of Vienna thus gave a temporary setback to the growth of nationalism.
