[a] Relative velocity of one with respect to the other is 28 m/s. \[{{x}_{1}}=\frac{2g}{K}\]  Time taken to overtake \[=\frac{6+8}{28}s=\frac{1}{2}s\] In this time of (1/2)s the distance travelled by the two buses is 8 m and 6 m respectively Hence, Minimum road length required for overtaking is as shown in figure
