Two organ pipes of same length open at both ends produce sound of different frequencies if their radii are different. Why?

    Answer:

The fundamental frequency of an open organ pipe is given by \[v=\frac{\upsilon }{2(L+0.3D)}\] Here D is the diameter of the tube and 0.3 D is the end correction. Obviously, two organ pipes of same length but of different radii will produce sounds of different frequencies.
