    Solution :

    Perimeter = Distance covered in 8 minutes\[=\left( \frac{12000}{60}\times 8 \right)m=1600m\] Let the length be 3x and breadth be 2x m. Then, 2(3x + 2x) = 1600 or, 10x = 1600 \[\therefore \] x = 160 \[\therefore \] Length = 160 \[\times \]3 = 480m Breadth = 16 \[\times \] 2 = 320m  \[\therefore \]Area of the park = 480 \[\times \]320 = 153600 sq m
