Mention the benefits that female wasps derive from the fig trees due to their mutualistic interaction.

    Answer:

Due to the mutualistic interaction the female wasp uses the fruit of fig not only as an oviposition (egg laying) site, but also uses the developing seeds within the fruit for nourishing its larvae. The wasp pollinates the fig inflorescence, while searching for suitable egg laying sites. In return, the fig provides some seeds to the developing wasp larvae as food.
