It has been observed in many villages that people do not go for vaccination. They feel that they are healthy and they should avoid taking unwanted treatments.

(i) Being a responsible citizen, how would you explain them the importance of vaccination.

(ii) How can this idea be made reachable to them?

Answer:

(i) I would explain them that vaccination is not given to cure any disease but to provide protection against epidemics of a diseases. It provides them immunity and strength to fight against the disease for which the vaccination is given. I will explain them the mechanism, i.e. how vaccines provide immunity against a particular diseases. After vaccination, body produces antibodies and memory cells which help to fight the same pathogen during its subsequent encounter.

(ii) Propaganda can be made

(a) by giving examples of cases where death has occurred due to lack of vaccination.

(b) by advertisments in newspaper, speeches by doctors, etc.
