Design the cross proposed by Mendel to prove that the gametes do not show the blending of the two characters in the \[{{F}_{2}}-\]generation with the help of a checker box and define the law responsible for this fact.

    Answer:

Law of segregation states that, during gamete formation the factors or alleles of a pair segregate from each other in such away that a gamete receives only one of the two factors. They do not show any blending. Hence, it is also known as the law of purity of gametes. This can be easily proved by the given cross between a homozygous tall plant (TT) and a homozygous dwarf plant (tt).
