    Reason (R) A guardian can contract on behalf of the minor in his interest.

    B)  Both A and R are true, but R is not the correct explanation of A

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Both (A) and (R) are correct, but (R) is not the correct explanation of (A), because in this case, minor has the right tosue the person (purchaser) for a decree of specific performance to recover possession. Reason (R) is correct according to Indian Contract Act, 1872, as a guardian can contract on behalf of the minor in his interest.
