    A)  5, Rs.1; 15, 50 paise; 25, 25 paise and 35, 10 paise

    B)  5, Rs.1; 25, 50 paise; 35, 25 paise and 15, 10 paise

    C)  5, Rs.1; 35, 50 paise; 15, 25 paise and 25, 10 paise

    D)  None of the above

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Let the number of coins be x. 3x, 5x and 7x respectively as rupees, 50 paise, 25 paise and 10 paise. Since, Number of coins \[x\] Value of coin in rupee = Amount in rupees Now, value of 50 paise coin in rupee \[=\frac{1}{2}\] Value of 25 paise coin in rupee \[=\frac{1}{4}\] Value of 10 paise coin in rupee \[=\frac{1}{10}\] \[\therefore \]\[\left[ (x\times 1)+\left( 3x\times \frac{1}{2} \right)+\left( 5x\times \frac{1}{4} \right)+\left( 7x\times \frac{1}{10} \right) \right]=22.25\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[\frac{89x}{20}=22.5\] \[\therefore \] \[x=5\] \[\therefore \] Number of rupee coins \[=5\times 1=5\] Number of 50 paise coins \[=3x=3\times 5=15\] Number of 25 paise coins \[=6x=5\times 5=25\] Number of 10 paise coins \[=7x=7\times 5=35\]
