    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Let cost of rice be x per kg and cost of dal be y per kg. \[5x+7y=339\]                    ...(i) and        \[7x+5y=321\]                    ...(ii) On adding Eq. (i) and (ii), we get \[12x+12y=660\] or \[x+y=55\]      ...(iii) On subtracting Eqs. (ii) from Eq. (i), we get \[-2x+12y=18,\,\,y-x=9\] ?(iv) On adding Eqs. (iii) and (iv), we get \[2y=64\] or \[y=32\] \[\therefore \] \[x=23\]
