Work done by 8 men in 6 days $=\frac{6}{12}=\frac{1}{2}$ $\therefore$ Remaining work $=1-\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1}{2}$ Since 4 more men are engaged. $\therefore$ Total number of men = 8 + 4 =12 By work and time formula. $\frac{{{W}_{1}}}{{{M}_{1}}{{D}_{1}}}=\frac{{{W}_{2}}}{{{M}_{2}}{{D}_{2}}}$ $\Rightarrow$ $\frac{1}{8\times 12}=\frac{1/2}{12\times {{D}_{2}}}$ $\therefore$ ${{D}_{2}}=\frac{1}{2}\times \frac{8\times 12}{12}=4$ days
