    Solution :

    Both A and R are true individually, but R is not the correct explanation of (A) According to Article 53(1), Assertion A is correct which states that executive power of the Union shall be vested in the President. According to Article 53(2), Reason R is correct, which states that President holds the supreme common do of the defence forces of the Union, However R is not the correct explanation of (A)
