When the turn of the fox came, he went late to the king of the forest. The lion growled and said "Why are you so late?" The fox answered "I was stopped by your friend. He wanted to kill me. I ran away and came to you." At this the lion became angry and said, "Show me, who's it?" The fox took him to a well. When the lion peeped in the well, he saw his shadow and with his tight jaws and fierce eyes, pounced on the shadow. The lion fell into the well and died.
