Once a little girl made friendship with Tom. Their friendship was not a common one because they had never seen each other but knew each other only through letters. The girl was young and very poor but Tom was much elder to her and wiser. Once Tom wrote to the girl that he will shortly visit her country. The girl was mad with joy but had a pain in her heart. She had never disclosed Tom that she was so poor rather she pretended to be a millionaire. She did not know how to welcome him. Only what she could do was to clean her mud house. When Tom reached her city and located her house, he was dumbfounded. He could never dream of her poverty. On inquiring about her, her mother told that she has gone out to buy a piece of cake for her friend. Tom understood everything and made her mother promise him before coming back that she would not disclose her daughter about Tom's visit, and would not break her glass-house.
