Answer:

(a) Rukku Manni thought that Gopu Mama always threw his shoes away and wore chappals after coming home. She would have to make some excuse to him regarding his chappals being given to the music teacher. This thought made her laugh.

(b) The king got fed up with the discussion which went on excessively in the court; so he did not want to talk about the Hilsa-fish.

(c) Mr. Nath used to have a visitor on every Sunday- He was a tall, fair and stout man who wore spectacles. He was very talkative and Mr. Nath used to listen to him. They both had lunch together.

(d) The firefighters work with special equipment, like a fire engine/ a hose spraying water, and fire extinguishers to put out fire. They are also known as fire brigades and are highly-trained, and skilled people knowing first aid as well.

(e) No, the front wheel did not wobble. It would wobble if someone shook it, otherwise it was in perfect condition. It didn't require any attention. The author was pleased with it.

(f) When the adults give too many instructions to their children, they do not care about the interest of the children and kill their children's spontaneity and willingness to use their mind to understand life. In fact, these instructions destroy their innocence. Thus, the elders make their children dependent on them.
