The Clever Hare

There was an old lion in a forest. He was always hungry. Since he was old, he was unable to hunt his prey. One day, four friends of the jungle? a hare, a deer, a fox and a crow set out on a journey. The lion saw them approaching towards his den. He felt very happy. His food was walking right into his den. The four friends became scared as they saw the lion ready to pounce on them. The clever hare bravely went up to the lion and said "0, King of the forest, there is another lion in the forest who wants to take away your kingship." The lion roared loudly "Who has dared to take my place".

The hare took the lion to a well nearby. The lion looked into the well and saw his reflection. Thinking it to be another lion, he roared again. The sound echoed back. The lion got angry and jumped into the well. That was the end of the lion. The four friends danced with joy and continued on their journey
