    Answer:

    (i) Truly speaking, it was not the elf but Patrick himself who had done all the homework because
    Patrick helped the elf in every subject.
    (ii) The Emperor rewarded Taro in order to encourage other children to obey and love their parents.
    (iii) The purpose behind these special days was to make children understand and appreciate the misfortunes. This way they learnt to help the unfortunates and the handicapped.
    (iv) As head panch, Algu delivered his verdict in favour of the aunt. He set aside all his personal feelings. He announced that Jumman must pay monthly allowance to the aunt or surrender her property back to her. Jumman took it as enmity towards him.
    (v) The uncle was very well aware of the fact that the clever shopkeeper could cheat a little boy.
    Therefore, he warned Rasheed neither to buy anything in his absence, nor go far from that place.
    (vi) Patrick helped the little man by visiting the library to get books and read them. He looked for words in a dictionary to find their meanings. Patrick was working harder and harder in his study till late nights. He started going to school regularly.
