The three basic systems that are used in the working of touch screen are Resistive, Capacitive and Surface acoustic wave. Consider the following statements in light of this.
    1. The surface acoustic wave system allows a touch with almost any object.
    2. As far as price, the resistive system is the cheapest,
    3. A capacitive system must have a conductive input, usually your finger, in order to register a touch.
Which of the statements given above are correct?

    A)  1 and 2

    B)  1 and 3

    C)  2 and 3

    D)  All of these

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

[d] The surface acoustic wave system works much like the resistive system, allowing a touch with any hard and small objects like a pen tip. We know that in case of use of touch screen we are generally using our finger which is conductive, hence it will act like a conductive input for the capacitor. When we will use a pen tip, due to the touch acoustic waves will be produced which will also contribute in sensitivity of the screen.
