[c] Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) was developed in 2010 by Oxford Poverty and Human Development inititative and the United Nations Development Programme and uses different factors to determine poverty beyond income based estimation. The measure assesses the nature and intensity of poverty at the individual level in education health outcomes and standard of living. The index uses the three dimensions as the human development index: health, education and standard of living, these are measured using ten indicators health (child mortality and nutrition), education (years of schooling and children enroled), living (cooking fuel, toilet, water, electricity, floor and assets).
