[d] Housing Scheme for All 2022 has been renamed to PMAY, has been launched on 25th June, 2015 with an aim to construct 2 crore houses in the country within these seven years (2015-2022). People who will be benefitted through the scheme will be women, SCSs, STs and EWs, of Indian society. The four basic components of the scheme are slum rehabilitation, affordable housing, credit linked interest subsidy and beneficiary led individual house construction. To be eligible to receive to central assistance under the scheme the beneficiary family should not own a 'pucca' house. The scheme supports construction of houses upto30 square meter carpet area with basis civic infrastructure and the interest subsidy of 6.5% on housing loan will be provided for 15 years to the beneficiaries.
