Direction: The line graph shows the distance covered by different trains in km and the data in the table shows the time taken by different trains to cover the distance (in hours). Time taken by different trains in hours
    Train Time
    \[{{T}_{1}}\] 30 hours
    \[{{T}_{2}}\] 9 hours 40 minutes
    \[{{T}_{3}}\] 17 hours 30 minutes
    \[{{T}_{4}}\] -
    \[{{T}_{5}}\] 21 hours 36 minutes
    \[{{T}_{6}}\] -
    \[{{T}_{7}}\] -

If the speed of train \[{{T}_{6}}\] is \[128\frac{4}{7}%\] of the speed of train \[{{T}_{1}}\], then find the time taken by train \[{{T}_{6}}\] to travel the given distance.

    A)  8 hrs

    B)  8 hrs 30 minutes

    C)  9 hrs 50 minutes

    D)  10 hrs 30 minutes

    E)  None of these

    Correct Answer: E

    Solution :

    Distance travelled by train T, = 1400 km Time taken by train \[{{T}_{1}}\]= 30 hours \[\therefore \] Speed \[=\frac{1400}{30}=\frac{140}{3}\] kmph \[\therefore \] Speed of train\[{{T}_{6}}=\frac{140}{3}\times 128\frac{4}{7}%\] \[=\frac{140}{3}\times \frac{9}{7}=60\,kmph\] Distance covered by train\[{{T}_{6}}=600\,km\] Time taken by train \[{{T}_{6}}=\frac{600}{60}\,\]= 10 hours
