Direction: Study the following information carefully and answer the question given below:
In a bag, there are some balls of three different colours, i.e. red, green and blue. The number of blue balls is 10 while the probability of getting a green ball is \[\frac{1}{2}\] and the probability of getting a red ball is\[\frac{2}{9}\].
If three balls are drawn at random from the bag, then find the probability that all three balls are either red or blue or green.

    A)  \[\frac{891}{7190}\]

    B)  \[\frac{62}{447}\]

    C)  \[\frac{31}{223}\]

    D)  \[\frac{248}{1785}\]

    E)  \[\frac{615}{731}\]

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

Having Green balls = \[^{18}{{C}_{3}}\] Having Red balls =\[^{8}{{C}_{3}}\] Having Blue balls = \[^{10}{{C}_{3}}\] So reqd probability \[=\frac{{}^{18}{{C}_{3}}+{}^{8}{{C}_{3}}+{}^{10}{{C}_{3}}}{{}^{36}{{C}_{3}}}=\frac{992}{7140}=\frac{248}{1785}\]
