    B)  if the data in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.

    C)  if the data either in statement I alone or in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question.

    D)  if the data in both statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.

    E)  if the data in both statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Let the maximum marks be x. As passing marks are equal \[\left( x\times \frac{30}{100} \right)+75=\left( \frac{x\times 28}{100} \right)+90\] or, \[30x+75=0.28x+90\] \[\therefore \] \[x=\frac{15}{0.02}=750\] From II. Marks of Renu\[=x\times \frac{48}{100}\] Pass marks \[=x\times \frac{48}{100}-60\] As we don?t know the pass marks so we can?t find the answer.
