    Solution :

    In the word 'PERMISSION' there are 4 vowels in which I appears twice, besides in E ways and O. It can be arranged in \[\frac{4!}{2!}\] ways and there are six consonants in which S appears twice and P, M, R and N appears once. It can be arranged in \[\frac{6!}{2!}\] ways. \[\therefore \] Reqd number of ways \[=\frac{4!}{2!}\times \frac{6!}{2!}=\frac{4\times 3\times 2\times 1}{2}\times \frac{6\times 5\times 4\times 3\times 2\times 1}{2}\] \[=12\times 30\times 12=4320\,ways\]
