    Percentage increase in sales in 1987 over 1986 = \[\frac{320-340}{340}\times 100\] i.e., decreasing Similarly in 1988 over 1987 \[=\frac{400-320}{320}\times 100=\frac{80}{320}\times 100=25%\] 1989 over 1988 \[=\frac{420-400}{400}\times 100\] \[=\frac{20}{400}\times 100=5%\] 1990 over 1989\[=\frac{440-420}{420}\times 100\] \[=\frac{20}{420}\times 100=4.76%\] 1991 over 1990 \[=\frac{400-440}{440}\times 100\] i.e., decreasing Hence, the increase per cent was least in 1990.
