    Solution :

    Suppose, the radius of the field is r metre, then \[\pi r+2r=144\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[(\pi +2)r=144\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[r=\frac{144}{\pi +2}=\frac{144}{\frac{22}{7}+2}=\frac{144\times 7}{36}=28\,\,\text{m}\] So,       diameter \[=2r=2\times 28=56\,\,\text{m}\]
