    Solution :

    Let the men do it in a days and the boys in b days. \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{3}{a}+\frac{4}{b}=\frac{1}{8}\]                        ?(i) Now, \[\frac{6}{a}+\frac{8}{b}=2\left( \frac{3}{a}+\frac{4}{b} \right)=2\times \frac{1}{8}=\frac{1}{4}\][from Eq. (i)] So. 6 men and 8 boys can do the same work in 4 days.
